Media Gallery Manager does not apply any limits on files. As far as I know the trial period for Zenfolio does not apply any limits either.

If you still have troubles please send me the log file of MGM. The file is named mgm-debug-0.log and can be found in the folder
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\MediaGalleryManager\log\
Windows 7: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\MediaGalleryManager\log\
Mac: ~/Libary/Application Support/MediaGalleryManager/log/
Linux: /home//.MediaGalleryManger/log/

Send the log file to mediagallerymanager@harim.at and I will have a look at it.
